Long-term experienced readers know that my humble abode has long been plagued by bad plumbing.
It used to get periodically fixed by the existing super.
It went on the fritz one more time.
Earlier today, the new super stopped by. He clearly didn't have the right equipment or so I thought.
He spent three hours which pissed me off no end, made an unholy mess which pissed me off even worse but he actually got to the root cause of the problem that quite clearly, had never been addressed.
He's performed surgery where there were only band-aids. Economically speaking, he's providing value where there didn't use to be one even if there's blood all over the operating room floor.
There are a ton of morals here.
Things are not what they seem. (sooooooo Buddhist!)
Patience pays. (Something I'm terrible at.)
The finance perspective: Value always pays off. But eventually. Not right away.
