Our age is suffused with it. We're full of it. (and we're full of it!)
Some of us used to believe that we're, oh-so-brilliant, than the people before us.
It's a humbling lesson when you can start seeing naked irony in the art and literature of ages past.
I mean, once you've seen it in an epic poem, it puts the oh-so-ironic teenagers in their place, doesn't it?
Another sign of aging.
